Walking like the wind is an ancient Taoist concept, implying training yourself to think, feel and be so light, you move without resistance through the world, as you go about your business.
Visualise yourself so free of self-importance, so free of the need to struggle with yourself and reality, so free of the need to be and be seen to be right, so free of attachment to the outcome of your endeavours, so free of the fear of humiliation or defeat, so gleeful simply to be alive and so relaxed in mind, body and spirit, you are able to waft about like the breeze, meeting with absolute cooperation from all quarters, for as you see it, so will it be.
See yourself as the wind. Picture yourself blowing freely wherever the energy moves you. Feel the thrill of that in every cell in your body. Be the wind. Enhance the sensation by breathing mindfully in and out, as if the breathing were the central mechanism of the wind’s movement.
Then focus on what you wish to achieve today and for the rest of the week. See each thing accomplished with ease and excellence as if the wind (you) were merely blowing it gently into shape.
Carry this awareness with you as you gently draw yourself back into the everyday state and carry on as you were.
And if I’m not mistaken, a series of unexpected serendipities will unravel to thrill and delight you the whole day and night long.
May it be so.
Love, Steph the D
